Update: Meta-Tree Balances, Emerald Truck Overhaul, and AFK Audio Fixes!

We have a new update rolling out today for Choo Choo Mega Freighter. This patch focuses heavily on smoothing out the early-game progression curve, overhauling the Emerald Truck to be significantly more reliable, and squashing a nasty audio bug that occurred when leaving the game running in the background.

Here is the full breakdown of what's new:

🚛 The Emerald Truck Overhaul

The Emerald Truck was previously a bit too strict, requiring 100% of your network to be polluted before it would deploy. We've completely reworked its logic to be the ultimate safety net you deserve!

• Lowered Deployment Threshold: The truck will now automatically deploy if 50% or more of your connected cities are polluted (down from 100%).
• End-of-Run Cleanup: The truck will now do a forced sweep at the end of your run to clean up remaining garbage cubes, setting you up nicely for your next attempt.
• Routine Sweeps: It will now perform an automatic routine sweep every 40 minutes of engine time if there is any garbage on the map.
• Cost Reduction: The base cost to unlock the Emerald Truck in the meta-tree has been reduced from 30 to 20 Time Points.
• Note: The truck's internal spawn-check interval was slightly increased from 10s to 20s to accommodate the new logic.

⚖️ Meta-Tree Balance Changes

We took a look at the costs of some active abilities and decided they were too expensive to justify their utility early on.

• Manual Fracking Cost Reduced: Lowered from [75, 200, 500] down to [30, 90, 200]. It should now be much easier to manipulate city production in the early game!
• Foot Pedal (Pump Hotkey) Cost Reduced: Lowered from 100 to 80 Time Points.

🔧 Technical & Audio Fixes (The "Background Static" Bug)

Have you ever minimized the game, gone to lunch, and come back to a wall of horrible audio static? We finally tracked this down and fixed it!

• Audio Context Suspension: The game now intelligently hooks into your browser's Page Visibility API. When you minimize the game or switch tabs, the internal audio hardware clock will safely suspend itself.
• Sequencer Pausing: The background music sequencer now respects your AFK state, preventing it from trying to play hundreds of "backlogged" notes at the exact same millisecond when you return to the tab.
• Dynamics Compressor Node: We added a studio-grade compressor to the master audio output. This acts as a physical safety net—no matter how many overlapping sounds trigger at once, the audio will dynamically duck to prevent digital clipping and speaker blowout.
